Our Facts Matter

Bridge
The Gap

Help NSSC and the Grave Disability Working Group of CA pass SB 1016. We are tracking the tragedies to ensure no more lives are lost to a broken system. Your lived experience is the evidence legislators cannot ignore.

Tracking the Tragedies Campaign: Submit Your Story

NSSC is proud to support the Grave Disability Workgroup of CA (part of the CA Coalition of CARE) in their mission to provide humane, quality care and "Housing that Heals." This partnership is a direct extension of the NSSC National Standard of Care initiative and our Strategic Roadmap. We are in full alignment with their vision of creating safe, supportive environments where those with SMI receive the medical and psychiatric dignity they deserve.

To get SB 1016 through the Assembly, we must move beyond statistics. We need to present the facts. NSSC Board Member and Director of Public Policy and Government Affairs, Linda Mimms, is working alongside this collaborative team of clinicians, families, and judges to track the real-world tragedies caused by the current evaluation gap.

We need your lived experience to get this bill passed and to help our loved ones to get the care they deserve.
